Extra Protection
The ACTIVATED CARBON layer in the filter traps particles via a process called adsorption adding extra protection.

PM2.5 Filter
PM stands for particle matter - the small solid particles & liquid droplets suspended in the air. The 2.5 refers to the 2.5 micron measurement that these filters are designed to capture.
